High, Relief (Alto Relieve)
2023video and sound installation, tactile transducers, 8’56”

High, Relief (Alto, Relieve) is an audio-visual essay recorded and filmed in Las Manchas cemetery, in the aftermath of the 2021 Cumbre Vieja eruption in La Palma, the most northwesterly of the Canary Islands. As the volcano calms down, tremors produced by seismic activity are occasionally difficult to differentiate from those of anthropic origin. The work approaches residual vibrations in human and mineral debris as interferences between the factual and the conjectural.
