Aparasolada hosts a performative listening that sustains the dusk of May 1st at the Cuartel de Pinos. The date commemorates the events of the same day in 1931 when the Spanish Republican Government confiscated the 1,722-hectare Crown land of Casa de Campo to transform the royal preserve into a municipal park for the city of Madrid, prompting a spontaneous and festive gathering of 300,000 people within its grounds the first time.

The piece was part of a site-specific action by Bwelke (María Buey González, Lorenzo García-Andrade, Juanito Jones) and Maral Kekejian for Bosque Real in La Casa de Campo, Madrid, ES
