An Orderly Noise No.2

2022

spatial sound installation

An Orderly Noise No.2 is a 5-channel site-specific installation developed as a sonic collision of two architectures in decay. The Borssele nuclear power plant resonates within the 50m long corridor at the basement of the old telephone central of Amsterdam, blending and expanding an archaeoacoustic condition, and blurring notions of transmission, emssion, and reception. The piece integrates pre-existing sound and specific resonances of the space which it intervenes.
